UPDATE FROM JO SPERRING!!

"Well here I am again 13wks to go and nothing has changed body wise hence no pics this week!

My diet hasn't changed and nether has my cardio which is still at 40mins at 6 yes I said 6 and thats 6 am and not 6pm.Well I think I should be honest, my diet did go to pot last thursday, friday, saturday and sunday which isn't good, but in my defence, I was very poorly with an upset stomach thanks to my son.

Having said that, I did my best and only lost 2 meals which really was 2 meals too many but I'm back up to my full diet now and feeling much better and I had an awesome training session on legs and chest this week.

I now have the lovely task off looking for a song for my dance routine and keep going back to the same song so you can look forward to seeing me practice which is very funny so watch this space!

So glad to say I'm bac on track as it will take more than a dodgy tummy to stop me .

I'd like to send my appoligies to Beauty for letting her down sunday but no car and being ill were against me but we will re-arange and very soon.

As always a big thank you to Julie and Mike for their support and sponsorship, and not forgetting Mr.glutes Gary Farr for his advice and support

This year is going to be an awesome one so climb on board with TROJAN'S BLOG and have the ride of a life time, because I am!

Till next week TRAIN HARD TRAIN RIGHT TRAIN GOOD and EAT RIGHT and GROW and remember....

YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING IN LIFE IF YOU REALLY WANT IT I DID AND LOOK WHERE I AM TODAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Thanks for the update Jo, can't wait for more pictures!!!

JO SPERRING 15 WEEKS OUT FROM THE NABBA BRITAIN FINALS 2010.

Jo updated us on her progress 15 weeks out, heres what she had to say.

"My diet has not changed much this week apart from the creatine after training has been taken out, and I've replaced my bedtime protein with a whey isolate which has no carbs and no fat content.

As for my training, it's changed just a little bit for legs, I do no less than 15 reps, and my god does that hurt. I hobbled out of the N R G gym in Shirehampton yesterday so a big thanks to owner for letting me use the gym !!!!!!!!!!

This is a new diet and training regime for me and I also have a new coach, but before I introduce him to you I must just say that my old coach and mentor has got me to where I am today and I will miss him very dearly, but due to ill health and work load,
I've had to replace him, but a very big thank you to Steve Reeves for all his help and support in the many years hes been there for me !!!!!!!

Right, now I'd like to introduce to you Mr.Glute Man...Gary Farr!!

Not only is he my new coach, but he also competes at a high level himself and will be preping for his show later on in the year !!!!!!!!

But until then he will be kicking my butt and hopefully not to hard lol .........................

Once again I'd like to thank my fantastic sponsors, Trojan Nutrution, Julie and Mike for having such faith in me ..................

Till next week thats all from me!!!!!!!

We think Jo is looking right on course, and can't wait to see her on stage again at the Britain!!

TN: What is your daily diet at the moment?
JS: Well it looks something like this at the moment,

Meal 2: 6oz of chicken 60z of sweet pots n 6oz of broc
kiwi fruit, 1 tablespoon of olive oil n sauce yummmy

Meal 3: 2 oz oats 2 scoops protein pre training

During Workout - Muscletech Nano Vapour

Post Training - Creatine

JS: The supplements I use are the Muscletech range and Trojan's own brand.

TN: What is your training split right now?
JS: I train 1 body part per week with 2 rest days but I always do cardio 7 days a week come rain or shine!
My training sessions usully consist of 2 warm up sets then 3 to 4 working sets of about 8 to 10 reps but sometimes I dont bother counting reps, I will just go to failure, this seems to work well for me.

TN: Are you doing anything different this year to last year?
JS: This year my diet and training is totally different than previous years, so I'm really excited to see the results! I'm bigger than I was this time last year by about a stone and its a good stone too! It's not fat!! lol.

Well this is all new to me having to do a count down with people loggin in to see my progress so u can experience the highs and lows of my next 16wks

QUESTION'S & ANSWERS WITH TROJAN'S 2009 MS NABBA BRITAIN OVERALL WINNER...JO SPERRING

When NRG Gymnasium opened in Shirehampton yesterday, 2 of Trojan's sponsored bodybuilder's Jo Sperring and Dan Barry went down to check it out for themselves, we grabbed Jo and sat down with her to find out what her plans are for the 2010 season, and what motivates her to keep coming back year after year! (Jo on the cover of Beef Magazine right)

TN: How long have you been training now?
Jo: 12 years now, training & competing, my first show was a bet I made with a freind, I didn't think anything would come of it, but I definately caught the bug and was hooked from then on in.

TN: What was your first show you competed in?
Jo: I used to train at a local gym called Gym & Tonic, they held their own show so I competed in that, didn't place but loved it!

TN: When did you win your first show?
Jo: I won the NABBA West Britain in 1997 when it was held in Bath, and I've actually won the West for the past 4 years in a row now, and finally won the overall at the NABBA Britain last year.

TN: That must have been a great feeling?
Jo: Yes, when you put your heart and soul into a sport, and I've had 2nd's, 4th's and 5th's before, but to finally win it was the iceing on the cake.

TN: What other show's did you compete in last year?
Jo: The NABBA World Championships in Slovakia where I placed 5th.

TN: So what are your favourite products you are using at the moment?
Jo: I use Muscletech Supplements, Nanovapour, Celltech and Nitrotech mainly, and more recently Trojan's Glutamine to help me recover after workouts.

TN: What is your training split at the moment?
Jo: I train everyday bar Fridays and Saturdays, they are my rest days! One body part per session. I have recently started my prep for this years NABBA Britain and am doing 30 mins of cardio a day, mainly on the treadmill, only 17 weeks to go!

TN: Whats your diet like at the moment?
Jo: It eat 6 meals a day, my main source of protein is chicken at the moment.

TN: Why do you bodybuild, and what keeps you motivated?
Jo: It's more to do with increasing my self esteem, and I hate being told that I cant do something! It's definately a hobbie for me, some people knit, some people drink, I find it very satisfying to be on stage in front of 1000's of people!

TN: What are your goals for 2010?
Jo: My main goal is to win the NABBA Universe, and to do my own calender!

TN: What's your favourite food?
Jo: ICE CREAM! Can't get enough of the stuff!

TN: And the first thing you eat when you get off stage?
Jo: Chocolate, after the NABBA World's last year, myslef and Dan Barry sat up all night eating chocolate, we couldnt believe how much we'd got through the next day!

TN: Final thoughts and thanks?
Jo: I would like to thank Trojan Nutrition for believing in me and having faith in my potential, it takes alot for a company to put their money where their mouth is and actually support a bodybuilder so I'm very thankfull to Mike and Julie!

Jo will be keeping Trojan up to date with her progress for this years NABBA Britain, and we will be posting pictures soon! Have a look at this clip from Jo winning the NABBA Britain 2009!
